Mumbai: Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has incurred a loss of Rs 940 crore followed by Mumbai-Pune Expressway Ltd of Rs 290 crore while Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) suffered a Rs 142 crore loss in 2020-21, stated the Comptroller & Auditor General report tabled in the legislature on Thursday.
On the other hand, public sector undertakings (PSUs) such as Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Ltd recorded a profit of Rs 493 crore, Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd a profit of Rs 439 crore and Western Maharashtra Development Corporation a profit of Rs 256 crore in 2020-21.
MSRTC employees were on strike for several months seeking better wages and employment conditions.
