Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (MPERC) here on Tuesday issued orders for retail supply tariff. The electricity companies had demanded 6.23 per cent hike in the power tariff, but the MPERC agreed only on 0.63 per cent hike.
The DISCOMs have projected Annual Revenue Requirement (ARR) of Rs 44,814 Crore for FY 2021-22, with a revenue gap of Rs 2,629 crore at existing tariff and proposed to recover this gap through a tariff hike of 6.23% on existing tariffs.
The commission has determined ARR of Rs 42,402 crore for FY 2021-22, and allowed a revenue gap of Rs 264 core at existing tariff to be met by increasing the tariff by only 0.63%.
