Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company (MP Transco) has energized a new power transformer of 50 MVA capacity increasing the transformation capacity of 132 KV substation Barhi in Katni district. Energy Minister of Madhya Pradesh Pradyuman Singh Tomar said that the transmission capacity of Katni district has been strengthened after the power supply started from this power transformer installed at an estimated cost of Rs 6.4 crore.
Due to which about 63,300 agricultural and domestic electricity consumers of 110 villages including various industrial units of Amarpur and Bharewa of Barhi and adjoining district Umaria will be benefitted.
