After repeated observations on the sub-standard quality of roads by the Gujarat High Court since last year, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) in an affidavit submitted that most of the road work was completed.
The affidavit dated April 15 filed by deputy municipal commissioner of AMC engineering department submitted on behalf of the civic body stated that between March 2022 and April 2023, most of the road work that were “in progress” or were being planned for, have been completed.
For the works that are still under planning or in process and have missed their deadlines, were due to multiple reasons, including lack of budget, it states.
