NEW DELHI: The underpass number 5 of the Pragati Maidan transit corridor is unlikely to get operational before the G20 summit starts in September. During the recent flood, some equipment inside the underpass got damaged and the ‘box-pushing’ work has come to a halt, officials said.
The underpass project, which has already missed several deadlines in the past, was supposed to be completed before the summit. Now, the underpass is unlikely to be opened to commuters before November.
“Due to the flood, the work of ‘box-pushing’ at the underpass has stopped, which is likely to delay the project by at least three to four months.
