NEW DELHI: The annual rainy season nightmare has begun for airlines. An IndiGo aircraft suffered a bird hit during take off from Ranchi for Mumbai on Tuesday (June 15).
The Airbus A320 with over 130 people on board returned landed back safely in Ranchi after its engine number two experienced high vibration due to the burn hit. While bird hits around the year, their incidence rises in monsoon.
Additionally, three aircraft of IndiGo and two of another airline parked at Ahmedabad airport on Tuesday-Wednesday night are feared to have suffered damages when planes there moved due to strong winds.
