Targeting to achieve 25 Solar Parks of minimum 500 MW each over five year period (2014-20), in October 2015 the government issued guidelines for the development of solar parks. Twenty states have already come forward with land ready for setting up 17,418 MW for establishing 26 solar parks. This will help the government in its mission of providing 24×7 electricity by 2019.
