MUMBAI: MMRDA has obtained possession of lands for the construction of two Metro to Mira-Bhayander and Gundavli to CSMIA) at Uttan near Bhayander, and one for Line12 (Kalyan-Taloja) in Niljepada.
– The earlier site was spread over three villages of Morva, Raimurdhe and Murdhe, partly in a residential zone and partly in a nodevelopment zone
– The villagers were opposed to the project and alleged that around 547 families were to lose their homes on account of the 100ft road and Metro car shed spread across 32 acres
