Cabinet Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu held a meeting with National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) Chairman Sukhbir Singh Sandhu in his office in Delhi today and took up several issues related to the ongoing development projects in the city. The Cabinet Minister was also accompanied by Ludhiana (East) MLA Sanjay Talwar, Mayor Balkar Singh Sandhu and road safety activist Rahul Verma.
Ashu informed that several issues related to decongesting the city traffic were also taken up with the NHAI chairman during today’s meeting. He said the NHAI Chairman directed his staff to send a high-level team for studying the traffic pattern of Ludhiana. “This team will be in Ludhiana for a week and study areas facing traffic congestion due to the ongoing projects, after which they will prepare a report and provide us with the solution,” he informed.
