Punjab’s New and Renewable Energy Minister Dr Raj Kumar Verka on Monday announced all possible assistance for setting up of renewable energy projects in the State.
Dr Verka, after approving a memorandum of understanding with Desh Bhagat University for a solar plant and biodegradable solid kitchen waste used for generating biogas, said that in the present scenario, the importance of solar energy has increased, so the State government has been emphasizing on the importance of solar energy projects.
The Minister, who also reviewed the ongoing projects of Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA), was informed by the PEDA CEO Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa about its major schemes or projects.
