MUMBAI: Even as the state PWD minister Ravindra Chavan has assured opening of a single-lane concrete stretch of Goa highway between Panvel and Indapur ahead of Ganesh festival, there are slim chances of its Kusgaon to Indapur 42 km arm getting ready as concretisation work looks nowhere in sight. This may impact traffic towards Konkan and Goa as many Mumbaikars head to their home towns for the festival.
“We have plans to open single lane on 84 km section between Panvel and Indapur via Palaspe and Kusgaon before Ganpati [festival] and complete all lanes on either side of it by December 2023,” he said announcing that ahead of the festival,
