BENGALURU: Several areas of west Bengaluru were spared a major blackout on Sunday after a team of 50 personnel, including engineers of Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited, worked tirelessly till late night and restored Rajajinagar’s power station which had tripped due to snapping of old transmission lines.
The well-coordinated teamwork through the thick of night helped KPTCL pull off a feat that otherwise could have taken at least two to three days to be fixed. The team restored power in less than six hours in the wee hours of Sunday.
KPTCL sources told TOI it happened at Rajajinagar’s NRS 220 kV station on the Vrishabhavati to NRS transmission network.
