DMRC now allows passengers to carry 2 sealed bottles on all lines, except for Airport Express one

The decision comes after a committee review and relaxation of the previous ban on carrying alcohol. However, consuming alcohol inside the metro remains prohibited. The announcement has sparked concerns among activists regarding women’s safety measures. One woman activist demanded the rollback of the decision, expressing apprehension that it may lead to incidents of nuisance. The police, on the other hand, assured strict vigilance and action against anyone causing disturbance.
