In January 2015, the Deputy Prime Minister of Mauritius visited India and also met the minister of P&NG to explore the possibility of exploration of non living assets in Mauritius Sea. The ministry had sought feedback from their PSUs. While ONGC has proposed exploration, Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) has proposed setting up petroleum product storage facility in Mauritius.
