NEW DELHI: Hindustan Aeronautics, the government-owned company that manufactures helicopters and fighter jets, on Monday said a consortium it is part of has been selected as the lowest bidder for making Polar Space Launch Vehicles (PSLVs).
PSLV is an expendable medium-lift launch vehicle. The vehicle was responsible for sending Chandrayaan-1, Mars Orbiter Mission (Mangalyaan) and India’s first space observatory, Astrosat into space.
