Ahmedabad: In a bid to cancel a train ticket worth Rs 400, a man from Nadiad lost Rs 2 lakh to cybercrooks on July 30 when he contacted a customer care number of IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) and accidentally got linked to fraudsters, stated a complaint filed on Monday.
Nimesh Patel, a resident of Surafaliyu in Nadiad town of Kheda, said in his FIR with Nadiad Town police that he had booked a railway ticket from Nadiad to Bikaner in Rajasthan on July 30.
Later, his aunt told him that she wanted to cancel the ticket and rebook a train journey on a new date.
