With the beginning of the construction of the 12-lane Delhi-Mumbai Expressway project in the district, the Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) has asked NHAI officials to make the passage through the city as signal-free to ensure that various crossings do not pose a hurdle to the movement of traffic. The HSVP is working as the nodal agency for providing right of way (ROW) to the NHAI for the expressway. The total length of the expressway in Faridabad and Palwal districts is 59 kilometres.
