MUMBAI: Petrol pumps across Maharashtra, including over 500 in Mumbai Metropolitan Region, will remain shut for 20 minutes on Wednesday, from 7pm as a tribute to the 44 jawans who were killed in the recent Pulwama attack.
Federation of All-Maharashtra Petrol Dealers’ Association (FAMPEDA) president Uday Lodh said that petrol pumps attached to the Consortium of Indian Petrol Dealers (CIPD) will be shut at that time. He said the CIPD secretary had urged dealers to keep posters paying homage to the troops and switch off lights when operations will be shut.
