Larsen and Toubro’s (L&T) energy hydrocarbon arm has bagged a Letter of Intent for an onshore project worth more than Rs 7,000 crore from a client in Middle East, the company announced on Wednesday.
As part of this project, L&T will work to deliver engineering, procurement and construction of Gas Compression Plants which consist of gas inlet facilities, a gas compression system, produced water handling, among other things.
The company’s Power Transmission & Distribution arm will also set up 3 Nos of 230 kV Extra High voltage substations to cater to the power supply requirements of the plants.
“One doesn’t get to win such an order every day. This shows our capabilities to perform and deliver on time and the enormous trust that our client has on us to manage such complex projects,” said L&T Chairman & Managing Director, S N Subrahmanyan.
The Energy Hydrocarbon arm of L&T Constructions boasts to offer integrated design-to-build solutions across the hydrocarbon sector to domestic and international customers with services organized under offshore, onshore, construction services, modular fabrication and Advanced Value Engineering & Technology (AdVENT) verticals.
As of 12 pm on Wednesday, L&T was trading at Rs 3,100.45, up 0.85 per cent from previous closing of Rs 3,075 on Tuesday.
