As part of clean energy initiatives, Uttar Pradesh Cabinet has approved the allocation of 165 acres of vacant land in Rampur Halwara village along the Ayodhya-Gosaiganj route for the establishment of a 40MW photovoltaic station in Ayodhya. This solar power plant, a collaboration between the state government and NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, aims to transform the city into a solar-powered hub.
Under a 30-year lease agreement, the land near the Saryu river will be provided to NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, with the state government collecting a nominal rent in return. With an infusion of approximately Rs 160 crore in capital, the company will oversee the development of the power station.
