The Ministry of Civil Aviation has launched “Lifeline Udan” flights for domestic and overseas movement of essential cargo. The objective is to ensure unhindered supply of medical products across the country.
A total of 37.63 tonnes of medical supplies have been transported through 74 cargo flights till date, out of which more than 22 tonnes were transported on March 31. On Tuesday, Air India (AI) flights from Mumbai to New Delhi to Guwahati to Mumbai carried consignments of ICMR to Meghalaya, Assam, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, and Pune.
