NEW DELHI: To ensure all roads that delegates of the G20 Summit would travel on are well paved, clean and green, lieutenant governor VK Saxena has started an inspection drive.
The LG, along with chief secretary Naresh Kumar and NDMC chairman Amit Yadav, inspected Sardar Patel Marg – from Dhaula Kuan to 11 Murti – on Wednesday and Mother Teresa Marg, Teen Murti Marg and Akbar Road on Thursday evening. Officials said about 60 stretches of roads belonging to different agencies are being spruced up and the LG would complete the inspection of each of them by August 30. The G20 Summit will take place on September 9 and 10.
