NEW DELHI: Budget carrier SpiceJet has sought shareholders’ nod to issue 5.91% stake to Carlyle Aviation Partners at Rs 48 per share — against Wednesday afternoon price of about Rs 31 on BSE. This February, Carlyle, which is SpiceJet’s biggest aircraft lessor, had decided to convert part of its dues to the airline into equity shares and compulsorily convertible debentures (CCDs).
It plans to convert dues of over $8 million into equity in the airline.
The airline’s BSE filing shows it proposes to “issue and allot up to over 4.8 crore equity shares with face value Rs 10 each of an aggregate nominal amount of up to Rs 48.1 crore to (nine) entities consequent upon conversion of their existing outstanding dues aggregating to an amount not exceeding (about)
