Hyderabad: Industries minister K.T. Rama Rao came out strongly against railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for his remarks made in Hyderabad on Friday that there was no chance of setting up a railway coach factory in Kazipet, despite it being one of the assurances under the AP Bifurcation Act.
In a release here on Saturday, Rao said that the Centre has been discriminating against Telangana on the ITIR project, Bayyaram steel plant, national status to irrigation projects, and many more that were all promised under the Bifurcation Act. He said that Vaishnaw’s statement on the coach factory was an extension of this biasand tantamount to cheating the people of Telangana, he said.
