HYDERABAD: Taking a dig at the Centre for granting Rs 22,000 crore grant to the oil companies to compensate them from incurring losses, TRS working president and Telangana industries minister KT Rama Rao asked why such a special package was not offered to women, who were burdened by rising prices of cooking gas cylinders.
He demanded the BJP government at the Centre should also announce a similar package to the gas consumers.
He said BJP’s debacle should begin from the kitchens of poor and middle-class women, who have been suffering due to rising gas cylinder prices all these years.
