THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) has drawn up an emergency plan for the management of the lingering power crisis in the state.
As per the plan presented before power minister K Krishnankutty on Monday, the board would explore the option to source 500MW power through a swapping agreement. In addition to this, the board would enter an agreement for short term purchase of 200MW power.
Meanwhile, the electricity regulatory commission on Monday heard the KSEB plea for extension of the interim permission given by the commission for the purchase of 365MW power as per the conditions in the long-term power purchase agreements annulled by the commission.
