KOLKATA: Work to repair the damaged stretches of Maa flyover’s carriageway is likely to start from Tuesday for five consecutive nights.
This will mean that the flyover may remain shut from around midnight to 4am, Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA) and Kolkata Traffic Police said on Monday. However, work will depend on a few factors, including arrival of a road milling machine and the rain.
“We expect the road milling machine, which will scrape off the damaged bitumen to arrive by Tuesday afternoon,” said a KMDA official.
