KOLKATA: Metro Railway is likely to increase the number of trains during the three Durga Puja days, but the authorities have not yet taken any decision on running trains at night.
Last year, when there were pandemic-induced restrictions on pandal-hopping, Metro Railway had increased the timings of the last Metro leaving the stations by one-and-a-half hours during Puja. From Saptami to midnight on Nabami, Metro had operated from 10am till 11pm.
This year, with no restrictions likely for the pandemic and Covid cases going down steadily, Metro officials said operation hours will be increased to accommodate pandal-hoppers.
