KOLKATA: Kolkata based shipbuilding firm, GRSE, while participating in a defence equipment fair in London has signed an MoU with a UK’s maritime services company Lyod’s Register for developing a hydrogen fuel cell ferry and another MoU with US based Caterpillar Inc for a potential collaboration in the production, sale and service of marine engines for the Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard.
GRSE was among the five Defence Public Sector Undertakings that participated at India Pavilion of Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) exhibition in London, held between September 12 to September 15. The other four companies that showcased the technological prowess and advanced capabilities were Munitions India Ltd (MIL), Advanced Weapons & Equipment India Ltd (AW&EIL), Yantra India Ltd (YIL) and Bharat Dynamics Ltd (BDL).
