Kolkata: A joint team of officials from BLRO (south) and the Kolkata Municipal Corporation on Saturday started reclaiming government land located in areas off EM Bypass that had gone into the possession of encroachers.
A team of BLRO and KMC officials started the drive from Nayabad mouza in KMC ward 109 area around Mukundapur. “Following a survey, a total of around 800 such government-owned vacant plots, located in KMC wards 107, 108 and 109 have been identified off EM Bypass stretching from near Dhapa mouza to Nayabad mouza at Mukundapur. Notice boards mentioning them as ‘government land’ are being put up so that the plots don’t get encroached.
