The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), the most widely used cooking gas, has been raised by Rs 15 per cylinder on Wednesday by India’s key oil marketing companies (OMCs) in line with a surge in international crude prices, news agency PTI reported.
The rates of both subsidised and non-subsidised LPG cylinders were hiked, it said citing oil company officials.
With this, the price of a non-subsidised 14.2 kg LPG cylinder will now cost Rs 899.50 in Delhi, the report said.
Prior to the latest hike, the price of non-subsidised LPG gas cylinder was hiked by Rs 25 on September 1, 2021, and before that, it was hiked by another Rs 25 per cylinder on August 17, 2021, data available on the Indian Oil Corporation’s website showed.
