Kirloskar Brothers has bagged repeat orders from Calik Enerji of Turkey for supply of pumps for its 230 mw power plant for a project in Georgia, the Pune-based company said Tuesday.
Kirloskar Brothers did not disclose the value of the order. The company said it first received an order from Turkey’s Calik in 2010-11 for supply of 24 units of various horizontal split case and vertical turbine pumps for a project in Uzbekistan.
“We are glad to have exceeded customer expectations with repeat orders. Calik Enerji has become our key customer, as this is our second successful project. We are sure this new footprint in the global power market will be very useful reference in our endeavour to spread our presence,” Ravindra Prabhakar, vice president and head business sector- power and irrigation at Kirloskar was quoted as saying in a press statement.
Calik Enerji is a Turkish energy company of Calik Holding, with business interests in oil and gas exploration and production, transportation and distribution; power generation, transmission and distribution; power plant design and engineering; and telecommunications services.
