A woman has written to Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, bemoaning the lack of roads to her village and saying she cannot get married till the village gets a bus service and there would be no one left to fight for their rights. Her email evoked an official response from the government, with district officials visiting the village on Thursday and promising immediate action on her requests.
Bindu R D, a resident of H Rampura village in Davanagere district, had written an email to Bommai on September 9, demanding the construction of roads and a bus service to her village and a bus service to the village.
