BENGALURU: The Karnataka government has initiated talks with some private airlines for suggestions to start its own airline.
On completion of 100 days in office, industries and infrastructure development minister MB Patil on Friday said the government is considering owning an airline to improve regional air connectivity.
The minister said he already received an offer of collaboration from a former Air India senior employee, who was part of the leadership team. He is ready to discuss possible investments and requirements if Karnataka plans to start its own airline, Patil said.
