The Srinagar-Baramulla national highway at Kanispora is in extreme bad condition. The dilapidated road has become a nuisance for the locals as well as to thousands of people travelling daily.
The big potholes and the drain water floating on the road, often lead to traffic mess at Kanispora. The locals demanded immediate repair of the road.
As per sources, the condition of the road started to deteriorate only after few locals encroached upon a drain few years back.
Soon after the drain was encroached upon, its water started to submerge the road, ultimately damaging it completely.
