JSW Energy NSE -0.44 % on Thursday said it has entered into a contract with GE Renewable Energy for the supply of 810 MW wind turbines. The company said the supply of 810 MW onshore wind turbines is for its under-construction pipeline of 2.5 GW of renewable projects in India.
The supply of the turbines will start by the second quarter of 2022 (calendar year), JSW Energy said in a statement. These turbines will produce enough green energy to meet the annual electricity requirements of more than 2.1 million households in the country, it added.
