Jammu and Kashmir Socio Economic Coordination Committee (JKSECC), an amalgam of various trade organisations and civil society formations, has hailed the decision of protesting contractors to carry the roads repairs.
The contractors, who have boycotted development works as a protest against government for non release of their pending payments, on the request of civil society and others decided to carry the road repairs while continuing the boycott of other development works.
In a statement, JKSECC said the situation has been a cause of grave inconvenience for people in general and patients and students in particular.
