President of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Dr Akihiko Tanaka of Tokyo visited Mumbai to check and review the under construction Mumbai Trans Harbour Sealink (MTHL) project site on Tuesday. Tanaka was accompanied by Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) commissioner SVR Srinivas.
The MTHL project work is being constructed at a total cost of about Rs 17,843 crore and the JICA is the funding agency. The JICA president’s visit to India is the first after the Covid-19 outbreak.
