Union Coal Minister Pralhad Joshi has said that out of the profit earned by the coal production in Jharkhand, about Rs 19,000 crore has been paid to the State in the last two years. A certain percentage out of the profit earned by the coal production is given by the Central government for the development of the State. Under this, about Rs 19000 crore has been paid to Jharkhand in the last two years. Jharkhand is one of the top states in the country in terms of coal production.
Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth had asked the question related to coal production in Jharkhand and its profits and benefits being given to the state.
