Jet Airways has appointed aviation veteran Sanjiv Kapoor as its chief executive officer (CEO), effective April 4. The carrier plans to restart operations this summer.
Kapoor is the second top-level announcement after Jet appointed former Sri Lankan Airlines CEO Vipula Gunatileka as the chief financial officer.
P.P. Singh, former Indian Air Force (IAF) squadron leader and executive of Nepal Airlines Corporation, has been chosen accountable manager replacing Sudhir Gaur.
Kapoor had joined Oberoi hotels last year. He was earlier the chief commercial officer at Vistara.
Jet Airways, promoted by the Jalan Kalrock consortium, has not flown since April 17, 2019.
