The Jammu-Srinagar national highway, which connects Kashmir with the rest of the country, remained closed for the second day on Friday due to landslides at various places.
As per the officials, authorities are trying to clear the landslip debris and restore the traffic on the road connecting Kashmir, to bring normalcy in vehicular movement.
“More than 400 vehicles are stranded at various places along the highway”, the officials said.
Earlier on Thursday, the arterial 270 km road was closed for traffic following landslides at several places, including Sherbibi, Magerkote, Mehad Cafeteria, and Dalwas, along the highway, the officials said.
