Large numbers of people under the leadership of former Minister and former MLA of Sukinda Prafulla Chandra Ghadai on Monday organised a protest meeting in front of the office of the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) in Bhubaneswar.
They sought to draw the attention of the NHAI to the poor road condition of the road and delay in startingthe four laning work of 45 km long Chandikhol-Sukinda highway in Jajpur district.
They threatened to intensify their agitation if authorities failed to address their problems.
“We protested in front of the office of NHAI to draw its attention to the pathetic condition of the road. The Chandikhol-Sukinda NH- 53 had developed hundreds of potholes, causing inconvenience to commuters.
