KOLKATA: Just like private tour operators, railway PSU IRCTC on Wednesday announced its special south India package where holidayers can travel without having to cough up the entire amount before a trip and pay in EMIs. To begin with, the EMI option will be available for Tirupati trips only. The facility will be extended to other packages gradually.
The Swadesh Darshan Special tourist train’s Dakshin Bharat Yatra will cover places like Tirupati, Rameswaram, Kanyakumari, Madurai and Mallikarjun. “The best part of this pilgrimage package for Tirupati is that it will have the EMI option. IRCTC is offering this facility for the first time in Bengal,” Zafar Azam, IRCTC’s group general manager (GGM), eastern zone, said.
“All you need to do is visit the IRCTC office at 3 Koilaghat Street and fill up a form and mention the way you want to pay.
