Affordable meals for passengers
The Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has established approximately 150 reasonably priced food and snack counters at more than 100 stations nationwide as part of an Indian Railways initiative. Taking into account the spike in summertime passenger traffic, particularly in the unreserved coaches, Indian Railways made the decision, according to a press release by the Western Railways.
