According to the IRCTC official sources, the Indian Railways cancelled a total of 202 trains on Friday, September 9. 319 trains are affected today, which includes 33 source-changed trains, 38 short-terminated trains, 17 rescheduled trains and 29 diverted trains.
Train diversions or cancellations are not new to Indian passengers. Sometimes, it happens because of a non-favourable climate, while other times, minute operational and maintenance issues become a major reason. In the monsoons, rail tracks often get flooded with water, making it better to cancel or redirect the train instead of risking the lives of passengers.
Given below are the lists of source-change trains, rescheduled trains and diverted trains on Friday, September 9.
