The Indian Railways cancelled 161 trains till 10.30 am on Tuesday, September 6. A total of 274 trains have been affected, which includes 161 cancelled trains, 26 source-changed trains, 47 short-terminated trains, 10 rescheduled and 30 diverted trains.
Train diversions happen frequently for maintaining the trains, and railway stations and to improve the customer experience. There are several reasons for diversions, cancellations, rescheduling and cancellation of trains. Out of all these things, operational issues are some of the common causes of train rescheduling.
