One of the five central trade unions the INTUC had demanded a handsome bonus for miners of the Coal India Limited ( CIL) subsidiaries keeping in mind the quantum of bonus announced by the Tata Steel Limited for its workers including those working in coal mines being operated by the steel company.
State INTUC vice president BP Singh in a statement here today said that if Tata Steel can dole out up to Rs 4.20 lakhs ( for current financial year) for its employees why not the CIL as it’s profit too depends on the miners .
It’s worth mentioning here that Congress backed INTUC is not party of the current JBCCI that hold discussions on National Coal Wave Agreement and other related issues.
