BENGALURU: T2 of Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) will turn into an international terminal starting Thursday morning, with 27 airlines, including two Indian carriers Air India and IndiGo, shifting from T1 to the new 2,55,645sqm facility.
“Singapore Airlines’ SQ 508 will be the first international flight to land at T2 at 10.55am and SQ 509, which will depart at 11.45am to Singapore, will be the first to take off,” confirmed a senior KIA official.
A total of 25 international carriers, including Qantas, British Airways, Etihad and Qatar Airways, will start full-fledged operations from Terminal 2, while IndiGo and Air India will be the only Indian airlines to operate from the new terminal.
