NEW DELHI: IndiGo on Wednesday reported the highest ever quarterly profit for an Indian carrier at Rs 3,089 crore in the June quarter. Last Q1, the airline had a loss of Rs 1,057 crore.
The largest Indian carrier by domestic and international carriage saw its revenue at Rs 17,161 crore this quarter, up 32% from Rs 13,019 crore in the year-ago period. IndiGo’s scrip closed at Rs 2,566, down 0.2% on the BSE on Wednesday.
The airline reported total cash of Rs 27,400 crore as on June 30, up 44% from Rs 19,069 crore last June-end. Its debt this June-end was Rs 46,292 crore, 17.9% more than the year-ago level.
