HYDERABAD: IndiGo passengers flying into the city from Mangaluru, on Friday, were furious after the airline allegedly left behind the baggage of all fliers onboard the aircraft. The incident came to light when one of them took to social media to share details of the bizarre case. He claimed that IndiGo did not load the luggage as the plane was too small.
“@IndiGo6E tells an entire flight full of people, 15 mins after landing (at RGIA Hyderabad), while waiting at the baggage belt, that our luggage hasn’t been loaded at the origin airport (Mangaluru), reason given is that the “Plane is small”,” the flier (twitter handle: @psyresident) posted adding, “Didn’t they know the plane was small while checking our baggage in? No intimation by @IndiGo6E at the origin airport whatsoever, and now they tell us we’ve to wait for 2 hours to pick it up, or it’ll be delivered to us, they don’t know by when.”
What seems to have infuriated passengers further is the lack of clarity from airline staff, who, they claimed had no explanation to offer till half-an-hour after passengers deplaned.
